Everyone knows the 1959 Fleer Three Stooges Set is one of the most beloved non-sports sets ever, but did you know The 3 Stooges “ROOKIE” card was actually issued 22 years earlier in 1937?
It’s true! Presenting a rare 1937 Pillsbury’s Farina Columbia Pictures Promo Ad Back, Three Stooges Rookie Card PSA 5. There are currently only (5) of these cards graded PSA 5, and only (2) graded higher at 5.5. There are no cards graded higher.
Issued by Pillsbury in 1937, this spectacular 3 Stooges card features an advertisement on the reverse for a "3 Stooges Moving Picture Machine." It was distributed to patrons at theaters and features Moe, Larry and Curly on the front, along with the text "Your friends Larry, Moe & Curly Columbia's '3 Stooges'." The reverse depicts a "3 Stooges Moving Picture Machine" with the instructions to kids reading "Keep this picture. It may be the lucky one which will entitle you to a Moving Picture Machine." It also instructs kids that they can receive a "Moving Picture Machine" at their local grocers when they buy two boxes of Pillsbury's Farina, while supplies last.
The Three Stooges Rookie Card is very rare and extremely difficult to get in a decent grade like this one.
Here’s why:
1.   The cards are large, measuring approximately 5“ x 7 ¾” so there is a lot of surface area on the card. That means it’s easily prone to blemishes such as tiny creases, major creases or paper loss, torn corners, etc.
2.   The cards are printed on thin paper. Which means the moment they are handled, they are prone to bending, creasing and scratches.
3.   The cards are over 85 years old! They had to survive all these years of storage and handling to make it to 2023.
It’s a great opportunity to add a highly-desirable Three Stooges Rookie Card to your collection. Being mounted inside of the PSA graded card slab, it is now protected forever!
