Swamp Rat Knife Works Ratweiler 10th Anniversary with Kydex Sheath~ Busse Combat

10th Anniversary Edition Swamp Rat Ratweiler. Swamp Rat is of course a division of the world famous Busse Combat Knife Group. This knife is #19 of the short run series. It’s made from their SR101 steel that has a satin finish and is polished. The full tang beast is 13.25” long with a .174” thick 7.5” blade. It also carries Busse’s famous lifetime guarantee.
The knife does feature really nice micarta scales . It also comes with the kydex sheath shown. This sheath is not original to the knife. The knife does fit and lock in well enough to pass the “upside down” test without falling out. As you can see from the pictures, the knife sits “proud” in the sheath, meaning that it sits up high in the sheath and the choil is exposed. I don’t find this a problem, but I wanted to point it out. I don’t know who made the sheath either, but they didn’t trim the kydex lower section of the belt hanger (where it attaches to the back of the sheath). This part sticks out just slightly too far past the edge of the sheath. In other words, it’s not flush with the sheath’s edge on that side. This could be corrected with a knife or file, but I’m not messing with it. It’s just a little cosmetic thing I wanted the buyer to be aware of.
The knife itself has been used plenty and shows a lot of scratches, marks, and wear on the blade. Most of the scratches are really light, while some are deeper and stand out. The scratches did not come from this sheath, as I traded for the knife without one. The sheath was new when I got it, but it originally went to another similar knife, and I’m giving it up so the buyer of this Ratweiler has a sheath. It is very possible that the scratches on the knife could be polished out completely with some Flitz or compound, but I am entirely too lazy to do that.
Please look at all the pictures for condition and ask any questions you might have before purchasing. If you need close up pictures of them, ask me before purchasing, and I will take them. I posted many pictures at different angles and different lighting, so the buyer could get a clear picture of this desirable knife. Again, the knife is USED and not a show queen, but is ready to take on whatever you need it to. There is no box, only the knife and kydex sheath are included in this listing.
