Description
Together Again! on eBay, silent film starsEdmund Lowe and Florence Vidor
. The two 8x10" estate-found. original photographs reunite the co-stars of the
1924
silent movie, "
Barbara Frietchie.
" A note with the Lowe photo reads "For Restaurant Display." And the back of the Vidor photo features both"J
orgensen's, Ice Cream and Candies.
"And, also, above,
The California Theatre. Salinas,
California
. Since they were found together, I'm assuming they were sent to promote the Frietchie movie. Both photos are in very good antique condition. Vidor photo is sepia. The type on the back bled through, but only visible up close. It was captured earlier (1916) than the Lowe photo, which is signed "Noel" in the print. it is blank on the back, except for his name in pencil. The Vidor photo is worn along the border. Please view the listing photos for condition details.
Vidor's career was prolific, but fairly short. She married well - first to movie director, King Vidor and later, to Jascha Heifetz, which likely kept her busy. Lowe had a long acting career on TV in the 1950s, and in film - notably,
Chandu,The Magician
(1932), I'm happy to pair these two, and to promote
Salinas
history - as it doesn't seem the movie theatre and the Ice Cream shop are still in business.
This is a unique opportunity to own two glam shots of silent move stars. The pair will be sent, carefully packed with tracking.
