PLEASE READ IN FULL! We used to sell very tiny pieces of the metal (aluminum) and of the paint of the original X-2 Rocket Skycycle which was used by Evel Knievel during tests for the famed but ultimately failed 1974 Snake River Canyon jump near Twin Falls, ID. We have just a few extremely tiny remnant pieces left one of which is shown in photo 9 along with some metal and paint shavings trimmed off of it next to the file used to shave off the metal and the paint. The tiny remnant piece itself is not a part of this sale. We will be shaving metal and paint off of that piece and the remaining pieces we have until they're eventually gone and will be adhering a tiny amount of those metal and paint shavings onto 8" x 10" glossy papers with a new larger redesigned retro backing one of which is for sale here. It's only available as a BUY IT NOW. We don't expect this to be a huge seller but sales will be limited to just one per customer
..................Here is an approximately 8" x 10" glossy paper ideal for framing (No frame is included) that comes printed exactly as shown along with a very tiny portion of metal and paint shavings of the original steam powered X-2 Rocket Skycycle that comes adhered to the small gold colored circle at center right!
The original X-2
was
used for tests at the Snake River Canyon jump site and ultimately ended up at the bottom of the Snake River Canyon after a failed test flight upon which it was damaged in the nose section! It is
NOT the X-2 used by Knievel during the closed circuit TV broadcast jump attempt of September 8, 1974 which was another virtually identical X-2 and which also ended up at the bottom of the canyon!
That X-2 can be seen at the large Evel Knievel Museum in Topeka, KS! Additional info and photos of Knievel in the original X-2 at the Snake River Canyon site can be seen online! Through a trade we obtained a small piece of Knievel's original X-2 from a former customer in Canada (Print out of initial message from customer shown above and on the COA you'll receive) connected to the Evel Knievel Museum in Niagara Falls, Canada who was given a small piece that originated from the damaged nose section
! The tiny portion of metal and paint shavings will be of the metal (aluminum) and of the paint on the original X-2! You will receive
an 8 1/2" x 11" plain paper Certificate of Authenticity from us The Zone as shown above!
