this is a very rare, vintage 2 pg trade ad featuring the universal studios horror classic, the man who laughs.
hard to find item, as trade magazines were not available to the general public.
film starred conrad veidt & olga baclanova
1928.
film based on a victor hugo work.
directed by paul leni.
universal studios was founded by carl laemmle.
the conrad veidt character inspired the creation of the batman arch nemesis, the joker.
the ad is very displayable.
terrific image of the 2 main stars.
there is some wear/damage that includes -
1 side of ea pg a little unevenly trimmed.
some staple marks on 1 side of ea pg.
1 pg has a corner chip & crease.
the 2 pgs don't match up perfectly (ie a little of the e of super on bottom is missing), but this doesn't deter.
great looking original universal horror item.
