    “Lost Horizon”
This is a full-page magazine advertisement published in 1937. It measures 10 x 13.5 inches in size and is in excellent condition, printed on a glossy stock of paper.
It promotes the film, “Lost Horizon,” starring heartthrob Ronald Colman. The movie was one of the nominees for the Academy Award of Best Picture of 1937. The text calls it
“Frank Capra’s most important production, surpassing his ‘Mr. Deeds,’ ”
    and says, in part:
“Here it comes at last! The picture so different, so daring, so remarkable in theme that Columbia Pictures asked not just Hollywood and New York but all America to ‘test’ it. In a hundred cities millions flocked to limited preview engagements at advanced prices. . .” “. . . They paid .00 a seat at some of ‘Lost Horizon’s’ advance runs in famous stage-show theatres. And at .20 this great hit ran for 15 weeks at Broadway’s celebrated Globe Theatre . . .
But you can see it now at regular popular prices
    .”
