Farber Brothers Krome Kraft Pair of Brass Candlesticks. Three Farber brothers immigrated from Russia in the early part of the 20th century established themselves in New York as manufactures of decorative brass and chrome household items. Although there were three brothers they because TWO distinct manufacturers (happens in the best of families). Louis and Harry became the "Farber Brothers Krome Kraft" company and eventually partnered with Cambridge glass to produce decorative line of chrome stemmed colored glass goblets of all shapes in sized so popular in the 50s.
This pair of candlesticks was made in brass with thick Cambridge glass insets. Although preowned I can not find any signs of discolouration, pitting, denting or scratching. Like the colored glass goblets in our china closet I do not think that they were ever used. The phrase was "just for show". Go ahead and enjoy using them.
