Classic J. Russell & Co. Green River Works 2212 Traditional Knife

Classic design knife from John Russell's Green River Works (merged long ago with another company to form Dexter Russell). This was the kind of knife used as a trade and all purpose utility knife throughout the days of the Old West. Blade is carbon steel, solid wood handle slabs are attached to the full tang with two brass rivets. It has never been used or sharpened since leaving the factory, but has a couple of small discolored spots on surface. Like all carbon steel knives, it should be dried after use, and it's a good idea to wipe it down afterward with food grade mineral oil to prevent rust. Like all wood handled knives, it should not be put into a dishwasher - ever. See pictures for condition. Blade etched  "
