    THIS HOIST works by running a smaller circular chain one direction or the other thru the tackle block which raises and lowers the hook. ADDITIONAL CHAIN is INCLUDED.
    This hoist has a 1/4 ton (500 pound) capacity.
    The reason S&H is so expensive is due to the weight of the items. Almost 70 pounds for the chain & hoist which will be carefully shipped in a double corrugated box for extra protection.
